Types of Funeral

With a wealth of experience gained over 100 years, we pride ourselves on delivering a true sense of occasion. We will work with you to determine the type of funeral service that is most fitting for your loved one - whether that be religious, non-religious or a blend, traditional or contemporary . We work with members of the clergy, independent celebrants and humanists, as well as offering an in house celebrant service for those who would prefer us to take care of every aspect of the day.

Funeral Location

Funeral services and celebrations of life can take place in various locations including
church, crematoria, cemeteries or perhaps our own unique memorial suite for those who would prefer a more intimate setting with greater flexibility.

Additionally, we have arranged services in hotels, community centres and even people’s homes and gardens.

Although we are based in Sunderland and South Tyneside, we are regularly invited to undertake funerals outside of the area and have experience working in all of the crematoria throughout the North East, as well woodland burial sites for those who prefer something more rustic and environmentally friendly.
